Can I get a ‘woot woot’ for the addition of Katie Bevilacqua as the new Marketing Coordinator at Firefly Partners?! On a serious note, meeting Katie was exciting, because she fit a need we had at the exact time we started looking for solutions. Her experience at nonprofits and marketing panache means she’s bringing critical skills to the team.

What drew you to the position of Marketing Coordinator at Firefly?
I am so passionate about the positive impact that strategic digital marketing can have on a company and truly believe that it can improve the overall success of a business. I also loved my time working in the non-profit industry and truly getting to make a difference in my community through raising funds and planning events. So the idea that I could combine my passion for digital marketing and help apply it to an industry that I love was very exciting.
What is your personal method or process for keeping tasks straight?
I think being able to appropriately prioritize tasks is a big strength of mine. It allows me to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines. Once I start working on multiple projects I begin to prioritize and order tasks by deadlines and time needed to complete them. After I begin that process I begin to see a clear picture of what needs to get accomplished every day in order to stay on track. My method also allows me to quickly figure out when I’m falling behind and gives me the flexibility to pivot when necessary.
Outside of work, pardoning that we are in the middle of a pandemic, how do you spend your time?
Most of my free time is spent with family and friends. I am a huge foodie so trying new restaurants is one of my favorite things to do. Being around those that I love gives me energy. I also love to spin, golf, go to concerts, and travel. I love all types of music so outside of the pandemic there is usually always someone performing that I know. I also love movies and binge-watching a new series on Netflix!
How do you get inspired?
Helping people inspires me. I love being apart of something bigger than myself and feeling like I’m helping to make positive change. In my spare time, I love to volunteer and help my local community. I believe that communities thrive when they work together and being able to do good things for others is truly a great feeling.
What progressive causes are you plugged into?
Right now I’m really plugged into the black lives matter and the LGBTQIA movements. I’m learning about ways I can continue to be an ally and new ways that I can use my voice to make a change. I’ve also been a big advocate of women’s rights and am really excited about all of the changes I see happening in that arena. I’m focused specifically on women’s rights in business and in the workplace right now. Though I believe we still have a long way to go I am starting to really see some change and it gives me hope!
