In a previous chapter of her career, Samin worked as a documentary film editor and producer with her creations featured at prestigious venues like The Tribeca Film Festival, as well as on prominent platforms such as HBO, VICE, and BBC.

Samin lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two daughters and oversized dog. When not working, she enjoys live music, The New Yorker, schvitzing and tennis.
